1187 CE - Reginald I Becomes King of the Isle of Man
by Ronald MacGordon
1187-1226 Reginald I (or III), eldest son of Godred and born before his marriage, becomes king by the choice of the chiefs. A warrior of the sea-king school, he was seldom on land. For three of those years he was not under a roof of a house for an hour.
